Comments : The borough of Audubon is a small community located in Camden County, NJ. This borough was named after John James Audubon a famous French ornithologist known for his extensive studies to document every type of American bird. Audubon identified 25 new species and numerous sub-species in his lifetime, releasing "The Birds of America." This is still known as one of the most stellar works on the subject. As of the 2010 census, the population of Audubon was just north of 8,800 residents. John Ward serves as the current mayor of this municipality; while Dave Taraschi is the current borough administrator. Atlantic Avenue and Merchant Street are two major thoroughfares through Audubon. The municipal court located in the borough of Audubon dockets 10 disorderly persons cases, as well as an average of 20 traffic tickets & DWI charges every week.
