  • About Chester Township, NJ :
Chester Township, not to be confused with Chester Borough, is a beautiful town offering a country like feel with good schools to attend, outstanding services, a downtown village business area, parks and many recreational facilities in an area of almost 30 miles.

  • Comments :
Originally incorporated in April 1799, the township Chester is a moderately sized municipality in the midst of Morris County with only around 8,000 residents within an area around thirty square miles. After a bustling 19th century of iron ore mining, the quant township of Chester returned to its original farming roots in the 20th century. Route 206 is the main thoroughfare in the township, but Route 80, 287 and 78 are accessible in adjacent communities such as Bedminster and Mount Olive.
