    The township of Elsinboro is a small community located on the edge of Salem Community, New Jersey. Elsinboro Township has a total area of almost fifteen square miles, with a population just over 1,000 residents as of the 2010 census. John J. Elk is the deputy mayor of this municipality. Sean Elwell serves as the current mayor of Elsinboro. Elsinboro Township borders the Delaware Bay, and the Salem Rives passes through a fraction of the northern boundary of the township. Alloway Creek flows along its southern boundary. The current members of the Elsinboro Township Committee are Mayor Sean Elwell, Deputy Mayor John J. Elk and Jeffrey Stepler.
