    Greenwich Township is located in the far eastern region of Warren County. Greenwich [“green-wich”] has a population of over 4,400 residents. Tanya Segal is the current mayor of this municipality. Kim Viscomi is the township administrator. An interesting fact about Greenwich is that is has a drawn-out history of being passed through multiple counties. In 1738, this township became part of Hunterdon County and less than a year later it was shifted to Morris County. A little over a decade later, it was once again moved, but this time to Sussex County, with portions of given to Mansfield and Oxford Townships. Finally, when Warren County was created in 1824, it became the final home to Greenwich Township. Route 78 passes directly through Greenwich, while Route 22 runs adjacent to the border. The municipal court located in Greenwich Township hears an average of 5 traffic citations & DWI cases every week.

    The Greenwich Municipal Court is mostly busy with Route 78 speeders. There is a small downtown in Stewartsville and a fairly recent housing development includes townhouse and condominium communities. Route 57 runs through the town and links Phillipsburg and Washington Boro.
