    Fort Lee is located in southern Bergen County, NJ and is nestled in between the Hudson River and the Hackensack River. As of the 2010 census, Fort Lee, New Jersey encompassed three square miles and had a population of 35,345 residents. The borough was named after General Charles Lee who camped in Fort Lee, defending New York City (NYC) during the American Revolution. Fort Lee is also home to the New Jersey entrance to the George Washington Bridge. The New Jersey Turnpike, Interstate 95, Palisades Interstate Parkway and New Jersey Routes 4, 5 and 67 all pass through this borough. The municipal courthouse in Fort Lee hears around 50 disorderly persons complaints, as well as over 150 traffic tickets & DWI cases every week.
